Based in Yeppoon, we service clients throughout Central Queensland–including Rockhampton and Emerald.

The Team

Kim Laundry

Director/3D Scanning Manager

Locally born and raised, Kim has a background in the Steel Fabrication industry. Graduating from Rockhampton Grammar School, Kim then attended CQ university. Kim was employed as an apprentice Diesel Fitter at the mines; since completing his trade Kim managed a steel workshop for 8 years. In 2007, Capricorn Engineering and Drafting Services was established along with his business partner, Darryl. They set up the foundations of the business which now has a well-established reputation in the region. Kim's role within the business has now changed to a more hands-off supervisor role; he watches over the whole business, ensuring every project runs smoothly and meets deadlines. Outside of work, Kim enjoys spending time with his family and participating in various sporting activities.

Darryl Lindley

Director/Specialty Projects Manager

From a young age, Darryl had a passion for drawing and design, whether that be landscape, people or building. After graduating from North Rockhampton High, Darryl went to CQ University where he completed a degree in mechanical engineering. Straight out of university Darryl was employed by One Steel as a piping systems representative. Still in the same industry, Darryl moved onto a more suited design role with T & I Pumps. Eventually an opportunity arose at one of the largest local building companies where Darryl became their lead designer. This was a role he had for five years before teaming up with Kim Laundry in 2007 to form Capricorn Engineering & Drafting Services. Darryl has an expansive knowledge of planning and construction regulations, and he manages all of our residential projects. Outside of work, Darryl likes to spend time with his family either watching a movie inside or being outdoors at the beach.
